The meaning of the game Monopoly:
Monopoly is about becoming the richest player by buying, selling, and renting properties in the form of (usually) real estate. There are classic Monopoly Swedish, monopoly junior, or more advanced versions. No matter which monopoly you choose, its monopoly rules are usually the same. In some, newer versions, there will also be a monopoly with card readers so that you can play monopoly with cards. And of course, there are occasional cases where there are different monopoly rules.
Preparations:
The game comes in a box with a monopoly game board and pieces as well as an instruction manual with game rules monopoly. A Monopoly game plan in Swedish is classic and follows the standard model. The game board is placed out and you place your cards face up. Each player chooses a game piece that they want to play with. A person is appointed to be the so-called “banker”, but of course, this person is also a regular player during the game.
How much money you should have in a monopoly depends on socializing. In monopoly original, the classic version, you get 30,000 monopoly money in monopoly start-up capital which is distributed on different banknotes. How much money in monopoly you choose to play with depends of course on how long you can play. The remaining money monopoly goes to the bank.
What does the bank do?
In addition to keeping track of monopoly money rules, the banker also reviews the properties before and after a purchase. The bank sells and conducts monopoly auctions and can lend money to players. The bank collects all taxes, fines, and loans that players carry out. The banker governs the monopoly rules that have been determined.
The course of the game
Each player takes turns rolling the dice, and the person-appointed banker begins. The player with the highest number on the dice may then start. He places his game piece on the “GO” mark and rolls the dice. The number shown on the dice is the number of steps the player may take on monopoly streets. When your round is over, it’s the player’s turn to the left. Depending on which box you end up in, you get different options. You may be given the opportunity to purchase a property. But it may also be that you have to pay interest, and taxes, draw a chance card, or end up in jail. Every time a player passes “GO” he gets 4,000 monopoly money as a reward.
Buying real estate
When a player ends up on a tile that represents a property that is not owned by anyone, he can buy it. The player then receives a card, possibly a small house, which he can put on the spot.
You have to pay rent…
Rent must be paid. If a player ends up on another player’s property badge on the streets in a monopoly, he must pay rent. The price of the rent is listed on the property owner’s playing card. The more properties a player has in a certain category, the more expensive the rent becomes. A property owner can also upgrade their property, and then the rent becomes even more expensive. Depending on the monopoly game, you might start with an apartment, then a house, and finally a hotel. So you get more new monopoly money the more often someone ends up on your badge.
Chance or charity card
If a player ends up in a place marked with either a chance or charity monopoly card, he may draw a card from the pile. These cards can either do the player good or bad. It can make him money, but also send him to prison. Sometimes, however, the card can also work to get out of prison.
The prison
During the game, you can end up in a monopoly prison if you end up on a square or draw a card marked with this, or hit the same three times in a row. To get out, you must hit one of the first three blows after ending up there or use a “get out of jail” card. This card can also be purchased by another player for a sum determined by the opponent. But the player can also pay SEK 1,000 to get out before you roll the dice.
Monopoly rules free parking
Free parking monopoly means that a player who lands on this tile does not receive money, real estate, or a reward of any kind. It is simply a “free” resting place.
End of the game…
If you do not want to play throughout the evening, you can set an alarm for one or two hours. When the time is up, count it with the highest fortune! But in classic monopolies, you play until all players except one have gone bankrupt. If you are tired of playing with your family members or friends, you can also play monopoly for free online.
