Owing a wig gives you the flexibility to style your hair differently and provides the best hairstyles. You can change hairstyles in seconds. Isn’t that a dream of every girl?

Let’s see how to braid a wig!

Begin with a straight, thick, non-layered base wig

Choose a straight wig with no styles on it or a layered cut. A straight wig will make a perfect braided wig. A layered wig can bring up a messy look, but soon all the short hair will stick out of the braid, making it look untidy.

Now start preparing the wig.

For the classic 3-strand braided wig, you must separate the hair into three evenly distributed sections. Ensure the braid’s inner working is not exposed while parting. Now slowly brush the equal strands of wigs into right and left crisscross, and cover the wig’s foundation. The thicker the wig, the better the braid!

Parting the braided wig

Once the wig is sectioned into three equal strands, brush them with your fingers slightly and detangle the tangled hair of the wig. Give each of the three strands layers of hairspray to fix them and make them smooth with your hands. You must set the wig properly to get a soft and tidy braid. This will take more time than the braiding of hair, but it is worth it once it is done.

Braiding

Now begin with the braiding process; take the left section of the wig hair and cross it over the middle section. Next, please take the right section and cross it over to what is now the middle section. Continue doing this until it comes to the end part of the wig. Dont leave the braids. Continue doing this. You are almost done with it!

As you do the braiding now, tie the end part together with a rubber band or scrunchies. Brush the last of the hair of the wig and detangle it if tangled.

Finishing Touches

Finally, now your braided wig is ready. You are all set to go; tie the ends tightly using an elastic band, and when you’ve done styling the wig, cover the elastic or thread with a hair tie with your matching outfit.

Now brush the end of the braid and trim it into the shape you want. Cutting the end part of the hair gives the braid a tapered shape.

After ending up, fix the braid style with a generous coating of hairspray, including from the underside, to help the braid maintain its silky look for as long as possible.

Repair the wig

Repair the braided wig with hairspray or a blow dryer, braided wigs are durable, but still, they need some care after you have worn them. Use the hairspray to stick the hair back that had come out of the braid. You can use the braid again next time to keep it safe, detangle it, straighten it, and re-braid it for use.

Now you are all set to master the classic braiding technique and try the braiding process.

Conclusion:

Braiding a wig is not difficult; you need some time than braiding your original hair. But a wig, too, needs some love like your original hair. Take proper care of your wig to last them long.

Now that you know how to braid wigs begin with your wig now!
